Perfume, scent, and fragrance are all terms used to describe a product that provides a pleasant odor. However, there is a subtle difference between the three terms. Perfume is the strongest and longest-lasting form of fragrance, typically made with the highest concentration of fragrance oils. Scent refers to a lighter and more subtle form of fragrance, such as body mist or eau de toilette. Fragrance can be used as a general term to refer to any type of product that provides a pleasant scent, including perfumes, scents, and other related products.

All other things being equal, perfumes evaporate more rapidly from dry skin, so the best way to make fragrance last longer is to use a relatively heavy body lotion or cream. You might also try a light mist to your hair, which is said to hold scent longer than skin.

A Absolutely. Only in the last 150 years have distinctions been made between male and female fragrances. Of course some may be more suited to a particular gender, but it is all personal choice. We know men who wear Jicky and Angel, and plenty of women who adore Bois Blanc. There really aren’t any ‘rights’ and ‘wrongs’.

In most scenarios, you will receive your order via the UPS - United Parcel Service) or USPS - United States Postal Service. If you are ordering internationally, final delivery will take place through a local shipping carrier of that country.

Orders must be placed by 12:00PM est. for same day processing. All orders placed after 12:00PM est. will be processed the following business day. Delivery will then be determined by your selected delivery time of your choice.

If your order was placed before 9am EST, we typically process your order that same business day and ship it out within 1 business day. Our free standard shipping typically takes 5 - 8 business days. If you choose to opt for our Express shipping option, your order will typically arrive within 3 - 4 business days. Timing on international orders varies, but depending on where you are located, it can take up to 10 - 12 business days.

Any claims for damaged items or discrepancies (for example: missing items in your order) must be submitted to our Customer Service Department within 7 days of delivery. You must first contact us at (954) 271-2636 or by email at info@arthurperfumes.com. Also, we will gladly accept returns of any unused and unopened items for exchange or refund of the purchase price. All returns can be processed with a return label request form and you would have to pay for the standard ground shipping back to our facility. For further questions feel free to contact us.

People with dry skin usually find their fragrance holding time shorter than those with oily skin because oily skin has more natural moisture to hold in the fragrance. PH levels (amount of acidity in our skin) also varies slightly from person to person. Our individual levels of PH will determine how each ingredient in a fragrance will react.

Alcohol makes the fragrance emanate from your skin. Without alcohol, you would be the only person who knew you were wearing any fragrance at all.

Keep all fragrance in a cool, dry area, and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance the various ingredients.

There is no difference in quality between our regular perfume and sampler perfumes. Sampler perfumes are products that we manufactured for promotional purposes.

This depends on the fragrance. A fragrance can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months, if stored correctly. Once a bottle of fragrance has been opened it should be used because all fragrance deteriorates with time.

Yes. A unisex fragrance can be used by both men and women. Unisex fragrances are more subtle when it comes to masculine or feminine tones - which is why they can be worn by men or women.

To redeem a gift certificate at The Arthur Perfumes Online Shop, follow the simple steps below. You need your unique gift certificate code, which is part of the gift certificate that was emailed to you as an attachment. It will look something like a name or numbers for examplae: Discount2023 or 453-yh4-OSC-802. Browse the store and add items to your cart as you normally would.
